Why This Matters for Distributors: ABC Supply is preparing for a change at the top after more than a decade of expansion that more than doubled its location count. The transition puts a longtime company executive in charge of a building products distribution network with more than 1,000 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
ABC Supply Co. will change chief executives at the start of 2027 as CEO Keith Rozolis prepares to retire after leading the building products distributor for more than a decade.
The Beloit, Wisconsin-based company said Rozolis will retire Dec. 31. President and chief operating officer Mike Jost will succeed him Jan. 1.
Rozolis will remain involved with the privately held distributor as an executive adviser and member of its board of directors.
The transition comes after a period of substantial expansion for ABC Supply, which describes itself as North America’s largest wholesale distributor of roofing, select exterior and interior building products, and outdoor solutions. The company now operates more than 1,000 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
Rozolis joined ABC Supply in 1999, initially helping establish its strategic marketing department. He became CEO in 2014.
During his tenure as CEO, ABC Supply more than doubled its number of locations and expanded its geographic reach and product categories. The company said it also completed major acquisitions and invested in technology, operations, and customer service.
The expansion included building businesses beyond ABC Supply’s traditional roofing and exterior building products operations. The company now operates ABC Supply Interiors, formerly L&W Supply, and ABC Supply Outdoor Solutions, formerly Town & Country Industries.
Jost has served as president and chief operating officer since 2024 and has spent decades working in operations, customer service, and growth roles across ABC Supply.
The company indicated that the leadership change will not bring a shift in its broader strategy.
“Our strategy remains the same, our commitment to customers is unwavering and our culture is our greatest asset,” Jost said. “We have strong momentum, an exceptional team and a solid foundation for continued growth.”
ABC Supply chairman Brent Fox said the company has been preparing for the succession and that Jost has played a significant role in its growth.
“Mike is a proven leader who has been an integral part of the organization’s success,” Fox said.
Rozolis and Jost will work together through the end of 2026 before Jost formally takes over as CEO.
ABC Supply was founded in 1982 by Ken and Diane Hendricks and is headquartered in Beloit. The company primarily serves professional contractors across roofing and other building products markets.
